Five members of Florida Football you don't want to come across in a mosh pit

With Fest in Gainesville all weekend, there are some Gators you are better off avoiding in a pit

Florida Football is off this week, but that doesn't mean there is nothing to do in Gainesville. The annual punk rock music festival Fest is going on for three days, and if you are unfamiliar with the festival, it will have 350 bands playing across 15 venues in Gainesville.

So we thought we would have a little fun and pick out five players from Florida's roster you do not want to try and bang bodies with if you came across them in a mosh pit.

Jack Pyburn

The knock on Jack Pyburn as a football player is that he is a touch undersized for an EDGE. But at 6'3" and 265 pounds, he would be a giant in a mosh pit.

More relevant is that he is completely unafraid of contact, as every week, he seems to blow up a pulling guard or tackle to make a big run stop. As we have said before, he has the motor of someone who looks like he chugs three Red Bulls before each game after eating five raw eggs and he would take pride in being the king of the pit.

Desmond Watson

On the field, Big Dez has been playing better and like Pyburn has been front and center on some key third and fourth down stops this season.

Listed at 6'5" and 449 pounds, Watson's weight has been an ongoing topic of conversation among Gator fans. But if he showed up at Fest, even the most ambitious of pitgoers would bounce right off him.

Rocco Underwood

Long snappers are people too, and the days of sluggish backup centers acting as long snappers are gone. In the modern game, they are expected to also run down on punt coverage and make plays.

Against Miami and Mississippi State, Underwood delivered some big hits on punt return, and at 6'3" and 228 pounds, he feels like the type of guy who would thrive in a mosh pit.

Jadan Baugh

Coming into the year the report on Jadan Baugh is that he was unafraid of contact. And since getting an uptick in snaps this season, Baugh has been unafraid of meeting guys in the hole one-on-one.

If he is willing to run straight through a middle linebacker, imagine what he would do to someone at Fest.

DJ Lagway

There is a mindset, and moxy needed to hop into a mosh pit. Contact is fun, but one also needs to have their head on a swivel.

We would prefer as Gator fans that the chosen one doesn't enter a pit this weekend, but at 6'3" and 239 pounds with cerebral vision to stay out of danger, DJ Lagway feels like a guy who would pick and choose his moments in a pit with maximum efficiency.
