Now that Billy Napier has been fired as head coach of the Florida Gators, things are looking up for Florida fans. There is hope and optimism of a new coach coming in next year to turn things around, combined with some of the key players for the Gators indicating they want to stay in Gainesville.

But not every fanbase has that optimism right now, and these are five fanbases that wish they could swap places with Gator Nation.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin fans are basically following the timeline that Gator fans just endured. The problem for Badger fans is that they are one year behind the timeline, and even though fans seem to want Luke Fickell gone, their AD just came out with a show of support.

The Badgers are currently 2-5 on the season, and Fickell is 15-18 as the coach of Wisconsin after he came over from Cincinnati.

Kentucky

In some ways, Kentucky's perpetual low expectations for football set the stage for Mark Stoops to be owed a $38 million buyout if the Wildcats finally pulled the plug.

For as much as Stoops has "elevated" Kentucky, they have only finished the season ranked twice since he showed up in 2013, and it is evident that his method of program building isn't going to work in the Transfer Portal Era.

FSU

Speaking of insane buyouts, Mike Norvell was able to parlay missing the playoffs in 2023 into a contract that FSU is having buyer's remorse on.

He has a buyout north of $59 million, and despite the fact he hasn't won an ACC game since 2023, FSU stated Norvell will at least finish out the season before any further decisions are made.

Michigan State

The Spartans had emerged as one of the scrappier teams in college football during the Mark Dantonio Era, but that feels like a lifetime ago. The Mel Tucker Era went down in flames and he was replaced by Jonathan Smith, who had a losing record at Oregon State before heading east.

Shocking to no one, Smith currently has a losing record at Michigan State, and has a $33 million buyout despite being 3-10 in Big Ten play over the past two seasons.

Ole Miss

Whether or not Lane Kiffin leaves Ole Miss for Gainesville, Rebel fans are forced to sweat right now as they convince themselves that Kiffin isn't leaving.

And even if Kiffin doesn't leave, Ole Miss is going to be forced to pony up a massive contract to retain him, one that will probably have minimal safeguards if things ever go south.
