Amidst a 2-3 campaign and a rough individual start to the season, Florida Gators QB DJ Lagway has still managed to land another NIL endorsement. It was announced today that Lagway is signing with Red Bull, adding to his laundry list of endorsements.
It is an endorsement that also holds major value in the NIL Era that Florida, as a program, should also be celebrating.

In a press release, Lagway's manager stated that:
"Seeing DJ join the Red Bull family is such a proud and exciting moment for all of us. His talent, discipline, and love for the game shine through in everything he does, and Red Bull's energy perfectly aligns with that."
Lagway joins Arch Manning and Jeremiah Smith as current college football players signed to Red Bull.
The deal also adds on to Lagway's long list of deals, which includes Gatorade, Jordan Brand, Chipotle, and Beats by Dre. Lagway was also featured on the cover of the College Football 26 video game.
Lagway's deal with Red Bull is a significant recruiting pitch the Gators can sell to future prospects when thinking of NIL packages. Florida has been seemingly outbid for a handful of prospects and transfer portal targets over the years, but a deal like this can be sold to an elite prospect as to what is possible at Florida.
Obvious fans are going to care more about Lagway's play than his endorsement money, and he is going to need to continue to play like he did against Texas for the Gators to have any hope of turning the ship around in 2025.
But one has to have the setup and the connections to land the elite prospects in the first place, and if the Gators can keep promoting the brand to up-and-coming prospects, who knows what's possible down the road.
