It looks like DJ Lagway is going to be patient before finding his next home.
The former Gators starting quarterback has several schools interested in him, but according to reports, the rising junior is going to let the market play out for a while before making his move. Many of the dominoes are expected to fall by the end of the weekend.
"He's going to take in the market and see how the early dominos start to fall...and then he'll make a decision"@PeteNakos intel on QB transfer DJ Lagway 👀

"You've heard LSU, you've heard Baylor, you've heard some Miami, I think all those options are real," Pete Nakos from On3/Rivals said. "But at the same time, from the conversations I've had, I know that DJ Lagway is going to see where some of these top guys go before he makes a decision."
Lagway spent the good part of the past two years starting for the Gators, but decided to enter the portal after a meeting with new head coach Jon Sumrall resulted in both sides believing it wasn't a good match. Florida appears to be going forward with its pursuit of Aaron Philo, who played for offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner while at Georgia Tech.
In 19 starts with the Gators, Lagway threw for 4,179 yards with 28 touchdowns. Lagway completed 62 percent of his passes, but Lagway's biggest weakness is turnovers. He threw 23 interceptions and when he was off, it was tough to get him back on.
Both Lagway and the Gators should benefit from a reset
Even though Lagway is the fourth-best QB available in the portal according to Saturday Blitz, I think it's right to be deliberate with his suggestion. It's clear he wanted things to work out at Florida, and it didn't happen. He doesn't want to become a vagabond like many other former blue-chip quarterback prospects, so being patient and finding the right fit is the smart move instead of trying to be first or join the current rat race that exists at the start of the portal window.
Among the early teams expected to be in the mix with Florida QB transfer DJ Lagway, per sources: Baylor, Louisville, Missouri and Virginia.

Louisville seems like the right fit. Lagway is still young (20) and needs to be with a coach that's really invested in the quarterback. Jeff Brohm seems like the type of coach that would look at Lagway as an exciting challenge to take on. And the Cardinals always have some good skill players on the roster.
