Dan Mullen and his UNLV Rebels have a game this Saturday, one of the handful of teams participating in Week 0. UNLV will take on Idaho State, a matchup where Mullen's new school is favored by 26.5 points.
But apparently, Mullen still has his old school on his mind and took to social media to let everyone know he still thinks about his old stomping ground.
Dan Mullen is never going to give you up Florida
Yahoo posted a list of the safest and the most dangerous college towns in America, and coming in as the most dangerous college town is none other than Gainesville.
Mind you, this article was written back in June, but much like the haste he showed in making needed staff changes, Mullen apparently just stumbled upon this article and couldn't wait to share it with the caption, "Come to UNLV. Las Vegas is a great fun and SAFE college town."

Come to UNLV. Las Vegas is a great fun and SAFE college town.
Beyond the fact that no one would classify Vegas as a college town, it's obvious what Mullen is doing. He's taking every chance he can to hurl whatever pot shots he can at his former employer.
The thing about Mullen is that his wounds in Gainesville were self-inflicted, and there is a reason why he went from appearing in the SEC title game in 2020 to getting fired less than a year later.
Mullen can poke and prod at Florida all he wants, but the reality is that Florida didn't screw Dan Mullen. Dan Mullen screwed Dan Mullen.
Between his refusal to make changes to his defensive staff after it cost Florida the 2020 national title and his outright refusal to recruit outside of recruiting season, even though it's always recruiting season, Mullen could still be here as the coach of Florida if he hadn't just given up in 2021.
But at least he is safe now in Sin City. We're sure the 32,000 fans UNLV averaged per game last year are thrilled to have Mullen.
