Former Florida Gators coach Steve Spurrier was known for his quips and his ability to get under the skin of opposing fan bases. Spurrier was not one to hold back and was not afraid of being politically incorrect.
So on the NFL's opening night, when former Georgia player Jalen Carter got kicked without even playing a single down, one of Spurrier's all-time classic quotes came back into the fold and felt way too on the nose.
Jalen Carter is kicked out on opening night
After the opening kickoff, Carter, who is currently with the Philadelphia Eagles, was ejected after getting in the face of Dak Prescott. Replays showed that Carter spat on Prescott in full view of a referee.

It reminded everyone of a classic quote Spurrier made when he was coaching at South Carolina.
When asked about the topic of moving the South Carolina vs. Georgia game away from the second week of the season, Spurrier said at the time:
"I don't know. I sort of always liked playing them that second game because you could always count on them having two or three key players suspended."
Beyond the fact that Carter had to miss all of opening night, leaving the Eagles short one DT for the entire game, he isn't out of the woods from getting suspended one game if the NFL decides it wants to send a message to the entire league.
Not The First Time
Carter was a very effective player on the field with Georgia, but he has also had his fair share of notable off-the-field incidents.
We're not going to dive into those incidents, even his most notorious one, but even within the context of the NFL, this isn't the first on-field incident he has been involved in.
Carter was fined over $11,000 last season for striking a Pittsburgh Steelers player in the head.
