Florida fans are still recovering from the crushing defeat the Gators suffered in the Round of 32 vs. the Iowa Hawkeyes, thus ending Florida's season way earlier than anyone would have hoped. However, in the last few days, players have been announcing their intent to stay, and the Gators just got a boost with two announcements.

Brother Isaiash and AJ Brown both announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday afternoon that they are running it back with Florida next season, giving the Gators even more strength at the guard position.

With Xaivian Lee's exit, Florida will now retain 3 of its 4 guards next season

While Xaivian Lee was the main guard for the Gators this season, coming to Gainesville after transferring from Princeton, he is now out of eligibility, but Florida fans should not fret. The return of both Iasiah and AJ Brown means that Florida now has three of its four main guards returning next season, with Urban Klavzar and Boogie Fland also set to return.

AJ Brown wasn't able to contribute much this season due to a labrum issue that required surgery and kept him out all season. Isaiah Brown, on the other hand, became someone the Gators leaned on a lot towards the end of the season.

The beginning is Isaish's season wasn't one many would hope for, as he didn't progress as much as the coaching staff was hoping for. That was until SEC play towards the end of the season, when he really became a guy who was good for the rotation, especially on defense.

The return of the brothers means both could see a substantial uptick in minutes on the court next season, and it helps head coach Todd Golden with his decision at the guard position. While Golden could still hit the transfer portal for a prominent guard like Lee, the Brown brothers could also step right into that role.
