Boser, 6’1”, 215lbs was ranked as the No. 188 prospect according to MLB.com heading into the draft. The 22-year old spent his first three seasons at the University of South Florida before transferring to Florida his senior season.
The senior was the only Gator to start all 61 games in 2025. 44 of those starts were at third base, 16 at shortstop, and he tested out second base for a game as well.
Known for being a strong right-handed hitter with great strength, bat speed, and good balance at the plate, Boser put himself on the map in 2025, hitting .336, with a .613 slugging percentage, and a .437 on-base percentage. He hit 12 doubles, 18 home runs, drove in 67 RBIs, and had 72 runs scored. Also flashing some speed on the base pads, he stole 19 bases last season as well.
He had 25 multi-hit games with the Gators and 21 multi-RBI performances while also recording a 26-game on-base streak.
He was ranked top-10 in the SEC in runs (second), steals (fourth), RBIs (sixth), hits (eighth), at-bats (eighth), and total bases (eighth).
He was named a 2025 Baseball America Third Team All-American (3B), 2025 ABCA Second Team Southeast All-Region (3B), 2025 NCAA Conway Regional All-Tournament Team (SS), and 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team (3B).
Boser is a player with a lot of athleticism; he can make his way around the bases and play the field well defensively. He’s a well-balanced, all-around prospect, who though he primarily served as a shortstop between South Florida and the Gators, he can be used anywhere in the middle of the infield at the next level, which now gives the Athletics depth in their middle infield as he works his way through the development and minor league stages of his career.
Leader. Grinder. Ballplayer.
