This week, the SEC documentary SEC Football: Any Given Saturday on Netflix has totally taken off, and the Florida Gators had the privilege of being a part of it. While it may have seemed like the entirety of Florida's season wasn't showcased, there were some nuggets in the documentary that should fire fans up about the future of the program.
Head coach Billy Napier spoke at length on the documentary, but there is one line he said early on in the season that should give Florida fans real hope for the future and help them back Napier. Napier talked about what he wants to do with the program going forward, and it should send chills down any Gator fan's spine.
"We're putting this place back to where it's been before," Napier said.

Everyone and their mother remembers the glory days of Florida football, but of course, what is remembered even more are the years of struggle after, when Florida went through coach after coach after coach.
So, for Florida fans, to hear Napier say he wants to bring the team back to where it has been before is the hope that things are finally looking up for the Gators. While the 2024 season started off really rough, Napier and the team were able to really turn things around, and now heading into the 2025 season, Florida has a lot of buzz around it, especially with quarterback DJ Lagway leading the way.
The Florida Gators are finding themselves high up in all sorts of preseason rankings, and the roster Napier has built is one of the best in years, so this may be the make-or-break season for the Gators.
Gainesville is certainly buzzing since the release of the documentary, and fans are now even more excited to see what this team has in store for this season.
