The Swamp was lively on Saturday for the annual Orange and Blue game. The Blue Team beat the Orange Team 38-32 in a mostly positive outing for the Gators, including Dallas Wilson getting ten catches for almost 200 yards.

Florida Basketball was honored at halftime of the game with a ceremony that revealed the national title banner that is going to hang up in the O'Dome.

Florida also announced the spring game was one of the most attended spring games in over a decade. But if you look at the official attendance number, there is an Easter Egg nod to Todd Golden and his crew.

Florida Basketball: Details

Florida announced an attendance of 56,563 fans in The Swamp. That made it the most attended spring game for the Gators since 2009.

But if you look closely at that figure of 56,563 and then connect the dots to Monday when Florida beat Houston 65-63 to win the national title, it's clear Florida gave the basketball team a nice hat tip with their attendance figure.

For what it is worth, The Swamp was filled out a good amount, even if 56,563 is not the true attendance figure.

It was a busy day for the basketball squad. They were honored at halftime, Alex Condon announced he would test the water for the NBA Draft, but he does have the option to return, the team will take a trip to the White House to be honored, and members of the team flew down to Miami after the ceremony to take in UFC 314 in person.

In addition to all that, Golden is getting close to a new contract with Florida. His current deal is just north of $4 million and runs through 2030. Golden said of a potential extension that:

"Yeah, we love being here. Scott (Stricklin) and I have been talking a lot. I feel like we're very close to putting something together that will keep the Goldens in Gainesville for quite a while. I think in the next week or two, we'll get to the finish line on that."
