A couple of Easter Eggs for the Florida Gators included in the CFB 26 trailer

As the summer months are about to descend upon us, one of the new timeline checkpoints for Florida Gator fans is going to be the release of the video game College Football 26. The franchise from EA Sports made its return last year after a lengthy hiatus and was one of the best-selling video games of the year.

The series is back and just dropped their first trailer for the new year. Hidden inside the trailer is something that has never been featured at a Florida Gators game.

At least yet.

Florida Gators make the trailer for CFB 26

EA Sports dropped their trailer for CFB 26, and not surprisingly, DJ Lagway does make an appearance in the trailer. Lagway, along with Tim Tebow, are both present in the deluxe version of the game cover this year.

But there was a quick snippet of the trailer that made Gator fans do a double-take. At one point, the trailer showed The Swamp, with a drone light show making the Gator head logo above the stadium.

It looks cool; it just isn't something that has ever happened at The Swamp. Does EA Sports know something we don't? For what it is worth, Texas also had a Longhorn in a drone light show, so this could also just be an extra feature they are throwing into the game.

Florida should be a popular team to use in CFB 26. Lagway alone will be one of the top-rated players in the game, and there should be plenty of other players on Florida's roster to get a ratings boost to make them a winner out of the gate.

College Football 26 is set to be released on July 10, with players able to access the game three days early on July 7 if they purchase the "MVP Bundle."
