Is there a fourth program on Jake Kreul's list of finalists?
The blue-chip pass-rushing prospect will make his long-awaited announcement on August 12. He is expected to choose between Texas, Oklahoma and Ole Miss, but Kreul might've dropped a hint that the Gators are still in the picture.
Kreul, a 6-foor-3, 235-pounder from IMG Academy, dropped a picture of his official offer from Florida on his X account last night, and it's got everyone talking.

The Gators and Kreul have been linked for a long time. He has called the Gators his dream school and, after his official visit on June 7, it was believed that the Gators were the team to beat. After his visit to Gainesville, 247Sports national recruiter Tom Loy said the Gators were in a great position.
"But the one thing in the Gators' back pocket is that the Gators are his dream school," Loy said on an episode of The Ultimate College Football Show in June. "There can only be one of those and that's in favor of Florida. As of right now, I think Florida's the team to beat. I ran into him in New Orleans at a football camp down there, and he was kind of raving about Florida. He didn't want to give too much away, but I think the Gators are in a good spot right now."

Are Gators primed to pull a recruiting surprise?
It goes without saying, but there's definitely room for Kreul in the Gators' class.
Currently, Florida has a top-15-ranked class with 18 commits. The only edge rusher on the commit list is four-star prospect K.J. Ford out of Duncanville, Texas. Of the Gators' remaining targets at the edge position, Kreul is the only one that isn't already committed.
As we've seen with some recruitments this cycle, things can change in the final hours. A few weeks ago, Tennessee pulled off a major shocker when the Vols snagged 5-star athlete Salesi Moa from Utah.
It's time for Billy Napier to match that energy and pull Kreul away from the clutches of over conference program. If Kreul wants to play in the SEC, he needs to suit up for the Gators.
