Florida head coach Billy Napier did a phenomenal job at recruiting this offseason for the Class of 2026, especially when many thought Napier was not a good recruiter. Now, Napier may be on the verge of getting a commitment from 5-star defensive back Baran Womack.

Womack is currently projected to commit to Ohio State, but his latest story on Instagram could make some think he is leaning towards the Gators. Seen below is Womack's recent Instagram story where he shared a photo from Florida co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri. When you click on the photo on Instagram, it is a post from Sunseri that has the caption "gator standard."

This is leading Florida fans to believe that maybe the 5-star defensive back is beginning to lean more towards the Gators instead of the Buckeyes. Womack is ranked as the No. 15 player in the Class of 2026, the No. 1 safety in the class, and the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi.

Womack narrowed his list of teams down to four: Ohio State, Florida, Auburn, and Texas A&M. The Mississippi native is set to announce his commitment on August 21, so he is certainly taking his time to make his decision.

The young defender did have an official visit to Gainesville back on May 30, the first of his four official visits to his finalist schools. It seems the race could very well be down to the Buckeyes and the Gators and this post could show where Womack is leaning, or it could mean nothing unfortunately.

When it comes to recruits committing, fans are looking at every little thing they can to see where that player with commit. So Womack could be playing with fans, or give a sneak peek as to which school he plans on picking in mid-August.
