Florida has formally released a depth chart ahead of its season opener against FAU this Saturday. The Gators aren’t bound by this depth chart, but it does paint a picture of roughly where everyone stands heading into the season. At his press conference on Monday, Jon Sumrall stated, “Everybody on our depth chart, wherever they are, they know why. There's no, like, surprises.”
With that in mind, this is what caught our attention with Florida’s initial depth chart.

Kahleil Jackson is currently the 7th wide receiver
The top six wide receivers for Florida are all the top guys we have talked about this offseason. Vernell Brown III, Dallas Wilson, and Eric Singleton Jr. make up the top unit, while Micah Mays, TJ Abrams, and Bailey Stockton make up the second unit.
What’s notable is that for Mays, he has an “Or” designation with Kahleil Jackson, who is not someone we have talked much about this offseason. Jackson had a decent 2023 season and was set to have an expanded role in 2024, but he tore his ACL in the opener against Miami. He had to have surgery on his knee again right before the 2025 season, which led to him getting a medical hardship for a 7th season.
Jackson is listed ahead of a cache of talented freshmen Florida brought in as part of their class of 2026.
Evan Pryor is listed as RB2
We all know Jadan Baugh is going to be a workhorse for the Gators, but Florida does have some solid speedy options to mix in to lighten the load as needed. For now, Even Pryor, the transfer from Cincinnati, is getting the nod as RB2 ahead of returner Duke Clark.
We would imagine though that is subject to change depending on who flashes these first couple of weeks.
Kamran James listed as top END
There has been a ton of chatter about former five-star LJ McCray flashing here and there in camp and hope that he can finally reach his five-star potential. Seemingly lost in the shuffle of all the McCray talk has been returner Kamran James.
James took over 400 snaps last year and has 839 career snaps with Florida, but there haven’t been a ton of pieces or notes coming out about him ahead of the 2026 season. It should be noted that McCray is behind James with the “Or” designation. Joining them with the “Or” designation is transfer Emmanuel Oyebadejo.
Translation: This is a spot that is still up for grabs.
Cormani McClain hasn’t locked down a CB1 role yet
On one side of the secondary is going to be Ben Hanks III, who has had a solid camp by all accounts. Notable on the other side is Cormani McClain being listed as a starter, but it is with an “Or” designation with J’Vari Flowers.
McClain is the former five-star prospect who has flashed at times, but has struggled to put it all together. Flowers was a top-100 overall prospect out of Miami who took 298 snaps last year with some mixed results.
