Three-star defensive lineman Michai Boireau from Hampton, GA has officially recommitted to Florida football.

Boireau’s journey with the Gators has been a rollercoaster, starting with his initial commitment in the summer, followed by a surprising decommitment in September.

However, Boireau announced his return on Saturday.

Florida Football: I’m back

Standing at 6-foot-4.75 and weighing 378 pounds, Boireau is noted for his power and nimbleness along the interior of the defensive line. Despite his brief departure from the Gators’ commitment, Florida stayed in pursuit.

The Peach State prospect’s recommitment to Florida comes after attending games against Vanderbilt and Georgia. Borieau did take an unofficial visit to Georgia back in September, but according to 247 that is the only other visit he took during the season.

Boireau’s announcement on social media expressed gratitude to his family, coaches, and teammates, acknowledging their support throughout his decision-making process.

The Gators are currently ranked 6th for their class of 2024 according to 247.
