Florida football had a tough schedule this season, and it got the better of the Gators as they ended the season with a 5-7 record.

Unfortunately for Napier and his team, the road doesn’t get any easier next season, as Florida is set up to have one of the hardest schedules in the entire country.

They’ll play the other three power five teams in the state of Florida, and get their first shot at Texas in their debut year with the conference.

The dates have been set for seven of Florida’s 12 games next season as we start to get an idea of what next year will look like for the Gators.

Florida football: No weeks off

Here are the seven games that have been set in chronological order:

vs. Miami – 8/31

vs. Samford – 9/7

vs. Texas A&M – 9/14

vs. UCF – 10/5

@ Tennessee – 10/12

vs. Georgia – 11/2

@ Florida State – 11/30

Opening at home is nice, but the Gators are going to have to get up for that week one matchup against the Hurricanes.

Florida last played Miami in 2019, when they took down the Canes in Camping World Stadium. This rivalry is always going to bring the fire, and Miami will be out for revenge.

The Gators will also get to host Texas A&M, which should be a chance for a solid early season win, and they get UCF at home to try and avenge their bowl game loss two years ago.

The rest of the schedule is pretty normal, as the Gators have to go play the Vols and the Noles on the road and get Georgia in Jacksonville.

The other five games that are yet to be scheduled are:

vs. Kentucky

vs. LSU

vs. Ole Miss

@ Texas

@ Mississippi State

It’s going to be a tough year for Florida given the teams they have to play, and Billy Napier knows he needs to string some wins together to keep his job secure.
