Florida football: Gators’ injury report against Florida State
By Will Thomas
Florida football is getting ready to host the No. 5 Florida State Seminoles tonight as they look for their sixth win to guarantee bowl eligibility.
Both teams are dealing with their own respective injuries, and both teams will be without their starting quarterbacks. Both Graham Mertz and Jordan Travis are out for the season.
Florida is heading into this one with nine guys listed on their injury report that they’ll likely be missing tonight.
Florida Football: Who will the Gators be missing?
Graham Mertz – Mertz suffered a shoulder injury against Missouri when he leaned into a hit to pick up a big first down, and now Max Brown is ready to step in and lead the offense
Shemar James – James injured his knee in the warmups of the Florida-Georgia game and has been out since then with a dislocated kneecap that is going to keep him out for the rest of the season.
Keon Zipperer – Zip, who is going to be honored during senior night, is going to miss his last home game with the Gators due to a knee injury.
Caleb Douglas – Caleb was injured in the Kentucky game and hasn’t been able to get back on the field ever since.
Jonathan Odom – Odom was a consistent part of the offense early in the season but has been out for a while with an upper-body injury.
Jack Pyburn – Pyburn tore his ACL against Arkansas and will miss the rest of the season.
Justus Boone – This is not breaking news at all, as Boone has been out all season with a knee injury.
Cam Carroll – Like Boone, Carroll has been out all season with a knee injury and won’t see the field for the Gators this fall.
Caden Jones – Caden, a freshman OL, hasn’t seen any game action yet this season, and will miss Florida’s final home game as well.
