Florida football recruiting is in the running for a handful of 2025’s best prospects in the country and is becoming a finalist for many of them.

One of the most recent guys to include the Gators on their list is Dorian Brew, a corner out of Conroe, Texas.

Brew is rated as one of the best corners in the nation, sitting as the No. 4 player at his position per On3’s Industry Ranking, as well as being listed as the sixth-best player coming out of Texas and the No. 23 overall prospect.

The Gators will have to contend with some other big-name schools in their pursuit of Dorian.

Florida football recruiting: Make a good first impression

Brew has yet to make a visit to Gainesville to see the Gators in person for either an official or unofficial visit. One of those will likely come next season.

Florida is also way behind on On3’s RPM. Ohio State has a huge lead as of now with a 95.6% chance to land him, followed by Notre Dame, Michigan, and Michigan State. Dorian has taken visits to all of those schools and Penn State thus far.

A big part of Brew’s appeal is his athleticism. He’s a track athlete along with what he does on the football field and has times of 10.75, 10.80, and 10.84 in the 100m, as well as 22.59 in the 200m.

That kind of speed is very valuable to have in the secondary, especially against SEC wide receivers.

Billy Napier and the Gators have done a great job in the 2024 cycle of recruiting some of the best players out of the state of Texas, which is always a hub for elite talent.

Hopefully, they can keep that momentum going to make some noise in Dorian Brew’s recruitment as it goes on.
