Florida basketball returns home a 1-1 team after a close loss to Virginia at the Hall of Fame Series last weekend.

They were just one play away from pulling that game out, but now have a chance to bounce back and have a good game against Florida A&M tonight.

The Gators are massive favorites for this mid-week matchup and should be able to get their offense back into a flow and put up a big number.

This is a get-right spot for Florida ahead of their matchup with Florida State on Friday.

Florida basketball: On paper, this could get ugly

This game will tip off at 7:00 pm on ESPN + and SEC Network +.

The Gators are favored by 33.5 points and have a 97.9% chance to win according to ESPN Analytics. When you look at what FAMU has done so far this season, those numbers aren’t very surprising.

They’ve lost to Creighton by 51 and Nebraska by 27. They’re scoring just 54 points per game while allowing 93 points per game, and shooting just 33.1% from the field.

Comparatively, the Gators have scored 81.5 points per game and allowed just 73, while shooting 48.8% from the field.

After their game last Friday, Florida’s offense should have a much less stressful time trying to score. Virginia’s defense has been one of the best in the country for a while, and gave the Gators fits all night.

Florida A&M does not have that same ability, so it will be a lot more fun to watch the Gators with the ball tonight.

This is also Florida’s last game without transfer Zyon Pullin, who will likely make his debut on Friday.

It’s important for Florida to dominate tonight. They need to get their rhythm back before they welcome FSU, and this is a great spot to do just that.
