No. 3 best Florida basketball NBA career: Bradley Beal

  • Drafted: 2012 No. 3 overall
  • NBA career games: 695
  • NBA PPG: 22.1
  • 2020-21 All-NBA
  • 3x All-Star
  • 2012-12 All-Rookie

Bradley Beal had one fantastic season at Florida and went straight to the NBA. He was the third overall pick to the Wizards and was instantly paired with John Wall in the backcourt.

With Beal’s outside shooting and Wall’s athleticism and attacking, it was a good fit. The Wizards made the playoffs in Beal’s second year, but in three trips with the Wall and Beal backcourt, never made it past the second round.

Injuries eventually shortened Wall’s career and left Beal to carry Washington. He was an All-Star in the  2017-18, 2018-19, and 2020-21 seasons, but only led them to the playoffs twice and never made it out of the first round.

In the 2020-21 season, Beal averaged 31.3 points per game and was named All-NBA Third Team.

In 2023, Beal was traded to the Phoenix Suns to team up with Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker.
