Florida football recruiting already has 22 players committed in the 2024 class and currently boasts the No. 3 recruiting class in the country per On3.

But Billy Napier isn’t done picking up some of the best players in the country just yet. It’s always recruiting season with this coaching staff.

There are still a handful of high-priority guys, both uncommitted and committed elsewhere, that the Gators are going after.

Here are the biggest guys that are still on Florida’s recruiting board.

Florida football recruiting: Won’t back down

As I said, Florida isn’t shying away from competition on the trail. They’re aggressively going after players who are committed to some of the top schools in the country.

Two of those guys will have Gators’ coaches and players in their ears until they sign.

Jeremiah Smith, 5-star WR (Ohio State commit): We’ve written a whole lot about Jeremiah Smith throughout his recruitment.

And I mean a lot.

It’s hard not to when a player of his caliber shows legitimate interest in your school and has such a good relationship with DJ Lagway.

Over the summer there was a lot of smoke about him potentially flipping, and he made a lot of trips to Gainesville. That has since cooled off, but the Gators are certainly still a player in his recruitment.

It isn’t easy to try and take a receiver away from Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes. But Billy Napier and his coaches are giving it everything they’ve got.

HFH’s flip probability: 10%

Jameer Grimsley, 4-star CB (Alabama commit): Grimsley picked the Crimson Tide over the Gators when he committed back in July, but has been keeping tabs on Florida all season.

Corey Raymond and the Gators still have lots of interest in adding him to their class, and it seems that Grimsley hasn’t ruled Florida out quite yet.

Jameer will be in Jacksonville this weekend for the Florida-Georgia game, but it is worth noting that coaches can’t have contact with players this weekend.

Regardless, it’s clear that Grimsley isn’t fully shut down yet, and the Gators are a bigger player here than a lot of people realize.

HFH’s flip probability: 30%

Florida football recruiting: Keep the pressure on

The Gators are still in the hunt for some of the best uncommitted prospects still on the board as well. They have a chance to make a big splash by locking down either of them.

Jordan Seaton, 5-star OTSeaton is likely the biggest (literally) guy left on Florida’s board. On3 has him as the best OT in the country, and the 15th-best player overall.

Ohio State leads per On3’s RPM followed by Alabama, but the Gators are still in the hunt. Seaton was in Gainesville for an official visit when Florida hosted Vanderbilt, and has made two total trips to The Swamp.

Seaton would be a huge addition to a Gators’ OL class currently headlined by Fletcher Westphal, but it’s an uphill battle from where Florida is right now.

HFH’s commitment probability: 15%

Zay Mincey, 4-star S: Mincey is the guy on this list that the Gators have the best chance with. He’s taken six trips to The Swamp, including an OV, and is teammates with the Gators’ newest commit LJ McCray.

Mincey is the 4th-best safety in the country per On3 and is a top-15 player coming out of Florida. He’s a guy that the Gators need to land not just because of his talents, but also to reaffirm that they’re taking control back in the state of Florida on the trail.

They lead for him per On3’s RPM, and I really like the Gators’ odds of ending the 2024 cycle with Mincey in their class.

HFH’s commitment probability: 80%
