Florida football recruiting has one of the best recruiting classes in the 2024 cycle, but are still looking to add a couple more big-time prospects before the cycle closes.

One of those guys is Jordan Seaton, an OL out of IMG Academy, who has been on Billy Napier’s radar for the entirety of this cycle.

Seaton has been in Gainesville once before, back in May of this year, and the Gators have been pushing for an official visit since summer.

Now, they’ll finally get their wish, as Jordan will be on campus this weekend for his official visit when the Gators take on Vanderbilt.

Florida football recruiting: Head to head with the best of the best

Seaton is regarded as one of the best offensive tackles in the country. On3’s Industry Ranking has him as the 32nd-best player in the class, the second-best OT in 2024, and the fifth-best player coming out of Florida.

With all of that respect and ranking, though, comes a lot of competition on the trail. Florida currently sits in third place for Seaton per On3’s RPM with a 9.6% chance to land him, behind Alabama at 19.9% and Ohio State at 56.3%.

With the ground-heavy emphasis that Florida has on offense, as well as a good chance at early playing time, the Gators seem to have a very good pitch to offer Seaton this weekend.

Blocking for a guy like DJ Lagway can be pretty persuasive as well.

Being able to land Seaton would be big for a few reasons. First, and most obvious, he’s one of the best players in the class and would help move Florida up toward that top spot in the country.

Second, adding a player the caliber of Jordan amidst a tough season would show everyone just how good this coaching staff is at acquiring talent.
