Florida Football: Injury report for Gators vs Kentucky Wildcats
Ahead of its crucial matchup against Kentucky, Florida football appears to have most of its main guys healthy and ready to go this afternoon.
As is the case for college programs, Billy Napier doesn’t have to be 100% truthful in regard to who is healthy and who is injured.
But here is what Florida claims the status is for a number of players according to their depth chart.
Florida Football: Back on the field
- Eugene Wilson – After departing the Tennessee game with a bruised clavicle and sitting out the UNC Charlotte game because of it, Wilson is listed as healthy and ready to go this afternoon.
- Kingsley Eguakun – It may be weird to consider your center to be the most important player on the team, but Florida’s offense seemed like a different animal when Eguakun was in the lineup against Tennessee vs. Florida’s other three games where he has been out. Napier claims that Eguakun is ready to go this afternoon.
- Micha Mazzccua – After sitting out of the UNC Charlotte game due to suspension, one half from the SEC and one-half team imposed, guard Mazzccua will be back in the lineup.
- Dante Zanders – Zanders only has one catch on the season but has played in all four games this season. He is listed as out with a lower-body injury.
- Ja’Markis Weston – Weston appeared on special teams against Utah but has been out since with an upper-body injury. He will be out again against Kentucky.
- Tony Livingston – After making a catch against Utah, the tight end has been out since with an upper-body injury. He will also be out again.
- Marcus Burke – Burke had two catches against Utah and saw action against Tennessee but is listed as questionable.
- Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman – He has been out since the start of the season but is listed as questionable for Kentucky.
- Kamari Wilson – For the second week in a row, Wilson is not listed anywhere on the depth chart for Florida football. It is safe to assume we won’t be seeing him anytime soon, if ever again, in a Gator uniform.
