Florida Football Confidence Meter Week 6: Vanderbilt

  • Last Season: Vanderbilt won 31-24
  • HFH Confidence Meter Preseason: 90%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Last Week: 95%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Presently: 75%

Let it be known Vanderbilt isn’t good.

They lost in back-to-back weeks to UNLV and Kentucky.

But Vanderbilt wasn’t a good team last season, and Florida laid a colossal egg in Nashville as they fell into the trap game that was Vanderbilt.

We are dropping the meter to a percentage even lower than what we started at, and we gave it a 20% drop because this past Saturday showed that the Gators haven’t earned the trust of the fanbase to prove it can stay consistent.

Vanderbilt is sandwiched between Kentucky and South Carolina, the two games that will set the floor for Florida’s season.

Florida should win this game by 20+ points, but even if Florida beats Kentucky by 100, we are not moving this number up next week because Florida hasn’t shown it can bring the same energy week in and week out.
