Florida Football Confidence Meter Week 6: Vanderbilt

  • Last Season: Vanderbilt won 31-24
  • HFH Confidence Meter Preseason: 90%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Last Week: 90%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Presently: 95%

UNLV was one of the games Vanderbilt needed to win if it reached six wins this season, but the Commodores fell 40-37 after blowing a 17-0 lead.

The uptick in confidence is as much a reflection of how good Florida looks as it is that Vanderbilt shouldn’t be able to hang with the Gators realistically.

Yes, we all remember last year’s disaster in Nashville. But even in that game, it took a perfect storm of disasters for Vanderbilt to hang on and win by seven.

So given that Vanderbilt is the same old Vanderbilt and this Gator team seems to have a better mindset than last year’s team, we are willing to stay high with our confidence.
