Florida football saw several high-profile recruits drop in the recruiting rankings over the summer because it was deemed they didn’t look amazing without pads during the camp circuit.

But as a certain online troll likes to say, then the games got played.

And highly regarded four-star prospect Myles Graham performs his best when the lights are turned on.

Florida Football: Two-way menace

Graham committed to Florida in August of last year. His father,  Earnest Graham, sits fourth on the all-time rushing yards list for the Florida Gators.

So, while Myles will ultimately play linebacker once he arrives on campus, he showcased last night his overall athleticism and looked a little bit like his father carrying the ball at running back.

Playing for F. W. Buchholz High in Gainesville, Graham had a three-touchdown night while amassing 200 yards rushing in a 49-20 victory over Creekside High.

His night included a 97-yard touchdown, and if one didn’t know any better, Graham looks like he could show up to Bill Napier in the Spring saying he’s a running back, and no one would blink an eye.

Graham’s performance continues an overall trend we are seeing with Florida football commits this high school season. DJ Lagway is looking like the top QB in the country. Jamonta Waller blew by a right tackle to pick up a highlight sack. Adarius Hayes already has 41 tackles in just three games.

And it’s these performances that give Napier clout in his evaluation process. Obviously, there is still a long development process for all these commitments, but one doesn’t have to squit to try and justify star ratings based on what happened when these prospects were running around in shirts and shorts over the summer.

Graham is currently living in Gainesville. He should have a short drive to The Swamp tonight to tell all the other recruits in town that Florida is building something special.
