Florida Football Increased Snap Count: Kamari Wilson

  • Vs. Utah – 7 snaps

In retrospect, based on the word that was leaking from Gator camp, Kamari Wilson getting only seven snaps last week wasn’t that much of a shock.

Despite seeming like the favorite to be a starting safety over the offseason, Wilson was beaten out by Jordan Castell and Miguel Mitchell during camp and saw minimal action against Utah.

With Xavier Filsaime coming to Gainesville next season, there is the chance Wilson, the headliner of Napier’s 2022 class, gets buried in the depth chart and doesn’t get out without perceived improvement by the coaching staff.

Saturday should grant Wilson some extra snaps to showcase his skill set.
