Florida Football Confidence Meter Week 5: Kentucky

  • Last Season: Kentucky won 26-16
  • HFH Confidence Meter Preseason: 40%
  • HFH Confidence Meter Presently: 45%

The flaws of the Gators being on full display for the entire country to see have hidden some of the real flaws a handful of other teams displayed in week one.

Kentucky did the thing Kentucky does best and utilized random scores to pull away from Ball State.

The Wildcats had a fumble returned for a touchdown, another fumble set up a field goal and returned a kickoff for a touchdown before the game was officially out of reach.

Mind you, this was 5-7 Ball State.

The offense for Kentucky was questionable, and new QB Devin Leary had a lower QB rating than Graham Mertz.

We are not putting this above 50% yet just because Lexington has been a house of horrors for the Gators, but if Florida can stay clean with turnovers and penalties, we like Florida’s chances in this game.
