Florida football recruiting: How are the Gators’ 2024 commits playing?

Florida football recruiting has plenty of great players coming in with its 2024 recruiting class, which can provide us with a bit of a distraction from the current teams’ struggles.

DJ Lagway made headlines in his first week of game action with Willis when he accounted for eight total touchdowns in his season debut.

All the other guys that are locked in with the Gators have also had some early success in their senior campaigns, showing Billy Napier and the coaching staff what they’ll bring to Gainesville.

Here’s a rundown of what the Gators’ 2024 commits have done so far in action.

Florida football recruiting: Production all over the field

Florida has talented guys coming in on both sides of the ball. This is what their defensive commits have been doing so far. (via Swamp247)

Jamonta Waller, EDGE – Seven tackles (one TFL), one sack, eight QB hurries through two games

Xavier Filsaime, S – 10 tackles, two forced fumbles in two games

Myles Graham, LB – Specific stats NA, does have a forced fumble that circulated social media

Adarius Hayes, LB – 30 tackles and one TFL through two games, including a 17-tackle performance last week

Amaris Williams, DL – Had two TFLs in a big win, only playing in the first quarter

Aaron Chiles, LB – Seven tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in week two

Nasir Johnson, DL – Five tackles and two TFLs through a pair of games

Josiah Davis, S – 4/9 passing for 58 yards, 17 carries for 76 yards and a score, and eight tackles all in one game

Teddy Foster, CB – Five tackles, two PBU, receiving touchdown through two weeks

Florida football is bringing in some electric playmakers on offense too.

DJ Lagway, QB – 77% completion percentage with 628 yards, eight touchdowns, two INTs in two games, as well as 101 rushing yards and two more scores

Jerrae Hawkins, WR – Six receptions for 90 yards and a score in two games

Amir Jackson, TE – Two rushes for 67 yards and a score, along with six catches for 89 yards and a TD in two games

Tawaski Abrams, WR – Five catches for 70 yards in two weeks

Kahnen Daniels, RB – 16 carries for 281 yards and three scores in week two, with a 68-yard performance in game one
