Florida Football Confidence Meter Week 13: FSU

  • Last season: FSU won 45-38
  • HFH Confidence Meter: 55%

There is a weird confidence we have when Florida football takes on the Neighbors to the West this season. Keep in mind that on the road last season, Florida was 26 yards away from tying the game, and had a facemask been called on fourth down would have been 13 yards away.

Now, in the end, FSU won the game and probably deserved to win, but that was one of the best FSU teams in recent memory going against one of the worst Florida teams in recent memory.

And the Gators were 26 yards away from sending the game to overtime.

The defense this year should be better, and the offense isn’t going to take a complete nose dive as long as the offensive line can hold up.

FSU is a playoff contender this year, but that is in part due to the construction of their schedule.

And if their season is going the way they hope it does, their game against the Gators will be a bit of a trap game heading into a potential ACC title game.

With the game being in Gainesville, if Florida has any positive momentum in 2023, we like Florida’s chances in a tight-fought battle.
