Florida football recruiting is in the mix for a lot of the best players in the 2025 class already, and are now climbing the ladder for a former USC commit.

After moving to Miami, CB 4-star corner Jett White popped up on the Gators’ radar and is now taking a liking to Florida.

After receiving an offer from the Gators yesterday, White spoke with Corey Bender about what he likes about Florida and his reaction to the offer.

“I guess moving to Miami kind of put me on their radar since I am a local now. (The Gators) are definitely high in the mix now.”

Florida football recruiting: Always making a play

At 6’2”-165, White still needs to put on a good bit of weight before he makes the jump to college, but his length is already an elite attribute.

He’s able to use his lengthy arms to be physical with the receivers and keep them close with his stride. With that length, he’s also able to reach out and make a play on a pass from just about anywhere, and his tape backs that up.

Jett is a magnet in coverage, and it seems that he always ends up with his hands on the ball when it’s thrown his way.

Once he gets the ball he’s a great athlete as well, with good speed in space and the agility to make some guys miss.

Per On3’s RPM, his former commitment USC still leads for him with a 39.2% chance to land him, followed by Penn State (17.4%) and Oregon (10.1%).

The Gators are way down with a <1% chance to land him, which makes sense given that he’s only been offered for about 20 hours.

But White said it himself that the Gators are up high on his list, and once Jett makes his first visit to The Swamp we’ll see the Gators start to become a serious factor in his recruitment.
