Florida Football Reasons For Hope No. 3: Eugene Wilson is going to have a breakout season

The 2023 recruiting class for Florida wasn’t a showstopping class compared to what Billy Napier is building for 2024, but one of the gems that people are super excited about is wide receiver Eugene Wilson.

Even the most cynical of cynics have raved about the work Wilson has done at camp.

We have highlighted some of his feats of strength from the weight room this summer, and he fits in perfectly who what Florida’s offense will probably need to do to move the ball.

If Graham Mertz can just get Wilson the ball in some semblance of space, the prospect of turning a two-yard gain into 12 is very real.

The ceiling is sky-high for Wilson, and while we aren’t willing to say he’s going to be the next Percy Harvin just yet, if we were to make a bold prediction…
