The offensive line may be the most important group on the field this fall for the Gators. No, it’s not because they have the best players on the team, but it’s because if they struggle, the whole offense will be behind the eight-ball.

We’ve said it a million times, but just for the sake of it, I’ll say it again. The Gators are going to run the ball a whole lot this fall, and I don’t need to tell you guys that without a good OL, that won’t work very well.

The good news for Florida football is that their OL figures to be pretty good this fall. They have one of the biggest units in the country, as well as a good amount of experience.

From left to right, the projected starters are Austin Barber, Knijeah Harris, Kingsley Eguakun, Richie Leonard IV, and Damieon George.

Knijeah is a true freshman, and George is an Alabama transfer.

The Gators also have Micah Mazzccua coming off the bench, who transferred over from Baylor, who is another big body they think can contribute.

There’s a lot of experience in the starters, whether it’s familiar faces to the program or guys who have logged lots of snaps for other teams now bringing that experience over.

Whatever the case, the Gators have their O-line built where it can be very effective this fall, and drive the Gators’ offense.
