Florida football recruiting is booking flights out west in pursuit of multiple elite prospects in the 2025 class.

One of those guys is a top-50 player in the country, and the No. 6 ranked linebacker in the 2025 cycle.

That guy is Noah Mikhail, from La Verne, California. While it isn’t easy to go out to California and pick up elite recruits, Mikhail has taken a strong liking to UF.

He has a great relationship with LB coach Jay Bateman and has lots of praise for UF’s facilities and the program as a whole.

Mikhail is a big-time player. It only takes a couple of plays on his tape to see that he’s going to be an impact player at whichever program he chooses.

He has a great combination of instincts, speed, and athleticism to snuff out the direction that a play is going and put himself in a position to make a play.

Once he’s there, the ball carrier feels him. Noah hits, and he hits hard. The first few plays of his tape are him crashing down toward running backs and QBs and laying them out.

At 6’2”-210, he already has the frame of a college linebacker and certainly plays like one. He’s rated as the 6th-best linebacker in the 2025 class, but he could move even higher before it’s over.

USC currently has a big lead for Mikhail per On3’s RPM with a 36% chance to land him, followed by Texas A&M at 10.8% and Arkansas at 9.3%.

While the Gators aren’t an RPM top school, they’ve made some great progress with him. I talked about Noah’s relationship with the coaching staff, and he also loves Gainesville and the facilities that Florida has.

"“It’s a beautiful campus and they have some of the best facilities I’ve seen so far.”"

As is the case with all west coast prospects, it takes a lot to get them to commit to play their college ball in Florida.

But Mikhail is a guy who is well worth the effort, and hopefully, the Gators can secure an official visit down the road.
