Florida Football Career Rushing Leader No. 6: Tim Tebow

  • 2006 to 2009
  • 2,947 career rushing yards
  • 57 career rushing touchdowns

If you are a newer fan of the Florida Gators and wonder why Tim Tebow is held in such high regard within Gator Nation, the man sits sixth on the all-time career rushing yards list while also sitting fourth on the all-time passing yards list in Florida football history.

His 57 rushing touchdowns are 21 more than the next closest person in Florida’s history. It is also tied for 18th for the most career rushing touchdowns in NCAA history.

Opposing linebackers stood no chance against Tebow once he had a full head of steam and if teams did sell out to stop Tebow, he would simply option it to Percy Harvin or Chris Rainey.

The Denver Broncos drafted him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft and while Tebowmania was a thing for half a season, Tebow’s style never quite translated to the professional game.

Today Tebow can be found on the SEC Network wearing nice-fitting suits.
