Florida Football Career Rushing Leader No. 8: Lamical Perine

  • 2016 to 2019
  • 2,485 career rushing yards
  • 22 career rushing touchdowns

For his first two years with the Gators, Lamical Perine was utilized in Jim McElwain’s offense and picked decent yardage, but was under 5 yards per carry in both 2016 and 2017.

His production picked up in 2018 once Dan Mullen arrived, and he ran for 826 yards in 2018 off 134 carries, an average of 6.2 yards per carry.

Perine was solid in 2019, but his production dipped to 676 yards despite a similar number of carries (132).

He left Gainesville 8th all-time on the career rushing list and was drafted in the 4th round by the New York Jets in 2020.
