Florida football recruiting is looking to fill up their final spots in the 2024 class, and are willing to dip into other teams’ commit lists to do so.

After flipping a couple of guys from rival teams, the Gators are now aiming to take a versatile athlete away from Sam Pittman and Arkansas.

Jadan Baugh, out of Decatur, Georgia, received an official offer from the Gators the other day and could be a sneaky addition to the Gators’ class.

Baugh may not be very highly rated but don’t sleep on what he can do on the football field.

Florida football recruiting: Diamond in the rough

Baugh is a versatile player who can do just about anything you ask between the hashes. He got snaps for his team at quarterback, wide receiver, corner, and safety. But On3 lists him as a linebacker. Whatever.

On offense, he caught 27 passes for 442 yards and five touchdowns and carried the ball 15 times for 306 yards and three more scores.

Defensively he racked up 54 tackles, four TFLs, two PBUs, an interception, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

There’s a lot to like about Baugh’s film, and it’s obvious why the Gators like him.

It’s hard to find any clear weaknesses in his game. He moves very well offensively, making tacklers miss and exploding in open space.

Defensively he’s violent and uses his 6’1”-215 frame to drive ball carriers into the ground and bully the offense.

Jadan committed to Arkansas in May of this year and hasn’t taken any visits to Gainesville yet, but if Billy Napier and his staff want him, they’ll get him on campus sooner rather than later.

Baugh is well worth the effort it would take to flip his commitment from the Hogs. If the Gators go after him hard, there’s no reason they can’t climb the ladder and become a player in his recruitment.
