Florida Football Mild Predictions: Gators will be top 25 in the country in sacks

For better or for worse, one thing the Gators could count on when Todd Grantham was in charge was that Florida was going to get sacks. It also could count on giving up 3rd and 15 with regularity, but that’s another story.

One of the massive problems under Patrick Toney was that Florida had no way to generate any pressure on the QB, so giving up 3rd and 15 was almost automatic, whereas at least with Grantham it was a coin flip.

So whether Austin Armstrong will stay organized on the back end remains to be seen, but one thing that is almost guaranteed is that Florida is going to get to the QB this season.

Last season, Southern Mississippi generated a sack on 9.71% of opponent passing attempts, the 7th highest rate in the country.
