Florida Football Mild Predictions: Billy Napier is not getting fired

Sites around the internet have written far too words around the idea that Billy Napier is on the hot seat. His first season wasn’t a smashing success, and Gator fans are notoriously impatient.

They aren’t wrong about Florida fans having a tendency to be antsy, but Gator fans that are paying attention understand the foundation that is being built in Gainesville.

In case you have not heard, Napier is doing quite well in recruiting.

And everyone that stuck around and didn’t transfer has nothing but great things to say about Napier.

So even if Florida goes 6-6 again, Napier is not getting fired.

If Napier goes 5-7 and misses a bowl game, Napier is not getting fired.

Keep in mind, Florida football has the hardest schedule in the country, and that is not hyperbole.

But, if Florida loses to Vanderbilt, which did happen last year, and loses to Missouri, which was far from 100% certain last year, Napier could go 2-10.

Even the most patient fans wouldn’t stand by a 2-10 season.
