Florida football: Gators’ freshman wideouts are some of the best in conference

The Gators’ 2023 recruiting class hit a lot of positions of need very well and set the coaching staff up for an even better 2024 and 2025 class.

But where the 2023 class shines is at wide receiver. Bolly Napier brought in three guys that have all had their stock skyrocket ever since they got to campus, and they figure to be a big part of the offense this season.

We’re talking about Aidan Mizell, Andy Jean, and Eugene Wilson. Both Mizell and Wilson were top-20 wideouts in the 2023 class, while Jean was ranked as the 61st-best wideout.

But if you ask me, Jean has the highest ceiling of all three guys. He stands at 6’1”-198, which is a much bigger height/weight combo than the other two freshmen. Andy also clocked at well over 20 mph during spring workouts and has all the tools to be a great wideout.

Eugene Wilson will turn some heads as well. He’s only 5’10”-180 but has gone viral for what he’s been able to do in the weight room at his size. Both he and Aidan Mizell are burners and can take the top off of the defense at ease.

Having playmakers like these three guys will make life that much easier for Graham Mertz, or whichever guy is under center for the Gators.
