We’ll be watching Florida football on our TVs this month. Sure, maybe that isn’t as exciting of a thought as it’s been in years past, but we’re all still looking forward to watching the Gators play.

While expectations are pretty low for Florida this season, this is college football, and you never know what could happen.

So for the sake of our own imaginations, here are five bold predictions for the Gators’ season this fall.

Florida football: Max Brown will get meaningful snaps at QB

There has been plenty of talk about the Gators’ QB room and how there isn’t a whole lot of excitement to be found in there.

With Graham Mertz lining up as the likely starter, Florida will be a run-heavy offense like they were last year. But maybe it won’t be Mertz, at least not all season.

At SEC Media Days, Billy Napier brought Max Brown’s name up unprompted and talked about how impressed he was with the strides he’s taken and the way he’s playing.

So with Mertz only expected to be a game manager, what’s the harm in giving Brown a shot? Obviously, we’ll see him pop up in garbage time of some games, but I think we’ll see him under center when it matters during conference play as well.

Napier will be trying to press the right buttons to get the team going, and a spark at QB could do just that.
