Florida football recruiting has done tons of work on the recruiting trail and has been assembling some of the best high school talent in the country.

Now we’re seeing Napier extend his reach to JUCO prospects, and the Gators are in the top five for one of the best JUCO prospects in the country.

Laquan Robinson, from Holmes Community College in Greenville, Alabama, released his top five schools this morning, and the Gators made the cut.

Don’t sleep on Robinson being a valuable addition to whichever team he chooses.

Florida football recruiting: Causing chaos

Robinson is seemingly in on every play defensively. He flies around the field, hunting for the ball, and more often than not makes the play.

When you watch his tape it’s easy to see why the Gators are after him.

His film opens up with him plucking the ball out of the RBs hands and running it 90 yards for a touchdown.

The rest of his tape is littered with interceptions he got thanks to his instincts and ball skills, as well as a few plays where he knocks the lights out of the ball carrier.

Robinson doesn’t have any clear weaknesses on the backend, which makes him a valuable guy for Billy Napier and the Gators as they try to bulk up at safety.

247 Sports has Robinson ranked as the 5th-best JUCO prospect in the nation, the top safety, and the third-best player coming out of Alabama.

The other teams in his top five that Florida will have to beat are Ole Miss, Houston, Texas A&M, and Auburn.

With question marks in the Gators’ safety room, it’s a no-brainer to go hard after Laquan. He’s a proven playmaker and difference-maker and plays with the swagger you need in the SEC.

Robinson would be a big-time sleeper addition to the Gators’ roster.
