Florida football recruiting is on a mission to get some momentum rolling in the 2025 class a few months before that cycle walks into the spotlight.

Trying to build off of the 2024 class, the Gators are already making a good impression on some of the top players in the ’25 cycle.

One of those guys is Solomon Thomas, a 4-star OT from Jacksonville.

The in-state lineman is working to set up a trip to Gainesville, which would be his fourth stop in The Swamp.

Florida football recruiting: Soon to be 5-star

With all the focus on the 2024 class, the 2025 rankings aren’t too in-depth and finalized. When they eventually are, Thomas will no doubt be an industry 5-star.

On3’s Industry Ranking has him ranked as the 31st-best player in the country, the 4th-best tackle, and the 5th-best player coming out of Florida.

Those types of marks will earn you a fifth star every time.

Thomas stands at 6’4”-290, and will likely grow a decent bit more in the two years before he makes his way to a college campus.

Even with more room to grow, Solomon is already a powerful force on the edge of the offensive line.

Solomon won’t be making it to the Grill in the ‘Ville event coming up this weekend but is working on setting another date for a return trip.

His most recent visit to The Swamp was April 1st of this year, and he’s taken more trips to UF than FSU and UGA, the other two schools he’s seen.

Right now, On3’s RPM has FSU as the heavy favorite, with a 94.8% chance to land him. The Gators sit in second at 4.1%.

But as we’ve seen in the 2024 class, Napier pretty much takes what he wants from Norvell and the Noles on the trail.

There’s no reason to believe he can’t do it again.
