Florida football: When and where to watch Napier and players at SEC Media Days
By Will Thomas
Florida football, as well as the rest of the SEC, are making the trip to Nashville this week for this year’s SEC Media Days.
While these are always a good time to hear from the coaches and players, there aren’t normally a lot of bombshells dropped that blow fans away.
Still, it will be fun for Gator fans to hear from Napier, as well as the three players he’s bringing: Ricky Pearsall, Kingsley Eguakun, and Jason Marshall Jr.
So here’s how you can make sure you don’t miss out on seeing them speak.
Florida football: When and where to watch
The press conferences will be airing on SEC Network +, so unfortunately you won’t be able to find it on cable (don’t worry we’ll have you covered here with recaps if you miss it).
The conferences begin at 10 am with Alabama for those interested in hearing everybody speak.
The Gators take the stage at 2 pm ET, starting with coach Billy Napier himself. He’ll give a State of the Union and field questions from reporters, which I’ll bet will have a lot to do with the quarterback room.
Then at 2:45 ET, we’ll hear from the three players coming with Napier, which in my opinion will be more fun to watch.
With Jason Marshall, it will be interesting to hear how the defense has changed with Austin Armstrong in charge and how the intensity level is different.
From Pearsall, I’m sure we’ll hear a lot about Mertz and how well he’s fit in and performed so far in camps.
And from Eguakun, we’ll be told a lot about the slew of OL transfers that were brought in, as well as how the running backs are performing behind those big boys.
SEC Media Days, as I said, won’t bring much breaking news and massive headlines, but for a team like Florida in a rebuild, I’m excited to hear what both Napier and the players think about where they are.
