Florida football recruiting: Gators’ target Teddy Foster set to commit tomorrow
By Will Thomas
Florida football recruiting has already assembled tons of talent and highly touted prospects on the defensive side of the ball in the 2024 recruiting class.
The Gators are in good shape to add another one of their priority guys to their third-ranked class tomorrow evening.
Teddy Foster, a three-star DB out of Sarasota, Florida, is set to make his commitment announcement tomorrow night.
The Gators currently have the lead for Foster, with Miami and North Carolina sitting as the other two finalists.
Florida football recruiting: Diamond in the rough
As we’ve already discussed a couple of times on our site, Teddy is ranked as a three-star corner and the 67th-best DB in the 2024 class, as well as the 676th-best player in the country.
But it seems like after his senior season, that ranking could see a bit of a bump.
The main knock on Foster around the industry is his speed. He doesn’t explode on tape, and maybe not be as flashy as some of the other guys in the class.
But Teddy has elite play-making ability and does a great job of putting himself in position to make a play on every snap.
He’s also a two-way player for Cardinal Mooney. As a DB in his junior year, he totaled 38 tackles, nine PBU, and two interceptions.
Offensively as a wideout, he caught 17 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns.
As I said earlier Foster will be deciding between Florida, Miami, and North Carolina. He’ll announce his commitment at 7 pm ET tomorrow night on Cardinal Mooney Football’s Instagram (mooney_fb).
On3’s RPM currently gives the Gators a 97.7% chance to land Foster, and both 247 Sports’ crystal balls are in favor of the Gators.
With Corey Raymond and Billy Napier hunting him down, I like the Gators’ chances here.
