Florida Football: Five teams the Gators have never played
Florida Football Teams Never Faced: Colorado
When the Florida Gators take the field with Colorado in 2028, with or without “Prime Time”, it will be the first time that the two programs have met on the gridiron.
Through the 80s and 90s, Colorado was one of the more consistent programs in college football that made frequent appearances in upper-tier bowl games.
The program peaked in 2001 with a Fiesta Bowl appearance, and since 2008 has only made it to a bowl game twice.
They jumped from the Big 12 to the Pac 12 in 2011 with just two Alamo Bowl appearances to show for it.
Maybe Colorado sees a rival under Sanders and meets up with Florida sooner than 2028, but until then, the two teams will have nothing but hypotheticals to go off of.
