When Florida football made an offer to IMG to prospect Jayden Jackson a couple of months ago, we here at Hail Florida Hail made note that despite the fact he is a three-star prospect from three of the four major recruiting services, he was still a monster on the field based off his film.

Now down to his final five schools, with a who’s who of college programs left in his final five, don’t sleep on Jackson even if the Gators are not the front runners to land his services.

Florida Football: Action Jackson

Back in May, we said that even though Jackson was rated outside of the top 400 prospects in the country, squads like Ohio State and Texas were still hot on the trail to land him.

We said when looking at his film that:

"“On film, Jackson has a mean streak to him. He sheds double-team blocks, stays low, and once he gets a path to the QB, he closes with ease.Once he gets his arms around a QB or running back, he does not bring them to the ground gently. He makes sure that player regrets their decision to want to play football.”"

So while Rivals is the only one of the four recruiting services that have Jackson listed as a four-star, he is not a player that fans should automatically gloss over when he does commit.

On3 still has Jackson as an 80% favorite to wind up at Ohio State, while 247 has yet to make a Crystal Ball projection.

Jackson took official visits to Miami, Ohio State, Texas, and Florida in June.

He announced yesterday on Twitter that he will make his official announcement pm July 13. If he chooses Ohio State, it is what it is.

But if he does choose Florida football, don’t sleep on the three-star rating.

Do yourself a favor and check out his film.
