Florida football recruiting isn’t only doing great work in the 2024 cycle, but they’re also trending early for some great players in the 2025 class.

All of the momentum that Billy Napier and the Gators are building in ’24 seems to be paying early dividends as they look forward to future classes.

With lots of time left in the recruitment of these ’25 guys, the Gators still need to capitalize on their early lead if they want to secure their signature.

Here are a few of the players that the Gators are trending for.

Florida football recruiting: Amaree Williams –  EDGE

The first guy that the Gators have an early advantage for is Amaree Williams, out of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Williams is ranked as the 76th-best player in the country, the 10th-best edge rusher, and the 14th-best player coming out of Florida.

Amaree has already made two trips to The Swamp, including one as recent as June 24th.

At 6’4”-205, Williams has a great frame for an edge rusher heading into his junior year of high school ball, and will only continue to add muscle mass to his frame before he gets to college ball.

It isn’t a surprise for a Florida recruit, but the top three for Amaree on On3’s RPM are Florida, FSU, and Miami, in that order.

With how highly ranked Williams is, his recruitment could turn into one of the biggest Big 3 battles on the trail in the 2025 class.

Any player ranked in the top 100 nationally is worth going after, and we’ll see Napier and his staff make Amaree a priority when the ’25 cycle comes to the forefront.
