Florida football recruiting has another shot at a multi-commit day in just over a week, after we saw them have multiple great days last weekend.

Two high-profile Gator targets have set their commitment date for July 1st, and Billy Napier and the Gators have a chance for another big day on the trail.

S Justin Denson and WR Jerrae Hawkins are the two guys set to make their decisions that day, and both would be huge additions to the Gators’ 2024 recruiting class.

But is there really a shot that the Gators land both?

Florida football recruiting: Playing from behind

While the Gators are certainly contenders for both of these players, they aren’t the favorite for either.

In the case of Denson, Michigan State is the heavy favorite for the Rhode Island native, with an 83.9% chance to land the 3-star safety per On3’s RPM, with the Gators in third place and a 3.9% shot.

Justin was in Gainesville for an official visit on the weekend of June 9th, which was his second visit to the Gators this year.

He also took an OV to Oklahoma last weekend and has plans to go see Sparty this weekend before making his commitment.

With no OV to Penn State, who On3 has in second place, I’d say the Gators have just the Spartans to catch and Oklahoma to fend off.

For Hawkins, a 4-star wideout at IMG, Penn State currently leads with a 41.1% chance to land the talented pass catcher, with the Gators in second place at 20.8%.

Jerrae was also in Gainesville on June 9th for his official visit and will go see the Nittany Lions this weekend.

I, like On3, like the Gators’ chances with Hawkins a little more than Denson, but neither guy is out of reach for Florida.

They could just as easily take them both as they could miss out on both.

Only time will tell, but it’s hard not to trust Napier and his staff with all things recruiting at this point.
