Florida football recruiting: Gators add two more commits on Monday
By Will Thomas
Florida football recruiting has been adding players to their 2024 class at a frantic pace over the past 72 hours, and they’ve already added two more to the bunch today.
After a lull on the trail, Billy Napier and his staff secured four commitments on Saturday, springing the Gators up in recruiting rankings and putting the country on notice.
The Gators had the third-best class in the country according to On3, and the 6th best class on 247.
With both of their commitments today, Florida will move into the consensus top five in recruiting, and keep their momentum going.

The two players that the Gators added today are both big-bodied linemen.
The first of these two is DL Michai Boireau, out of Fairburn, Georgia. Michai took an official visit to Gainesville last weekend on June 9th and was on campus in Athens this weekend before deciding to be a Gator.
Boireau was a guy that Kirby Smart was after, so landing him over his in-state Bulldogs is a pretty big win for Napier.
Michai stands at 6’5”-350 and is a top-100 DL on On3’s Industry Rankings.
Boireau is a solid addition to a DL class that took a big jump up on Saturday, landing both Amaris Williams and Nasir Johnson.
The second player that the Gators secured today is OT Marcus Mascoll, out of Atlanta, Georgia.
LSU was the biggest threat to the Gators here, but On3’s RPM gave the Gators a pretty big advantage leading up to his commitment.
At 6’4”-290, Marcus is a top-40 OT on On3’s Industry Rankings and as high as the 28th-best on certain services.
Like Boireau, Mascoll was on campus for an OV last weekend but was elsewhere in the days leading up to his commitment.
Locking up these two guys on the lines is a big accomplishment, as that depth in the trenches early on will allow Napier and his staff to go after some bigger fish at skill positions as the cycle continues.
